Ingredients:
- 2 Ribeye or sirloin steaks
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Optional: red pepper flakes for a bit of heat
Instructions:
- Preheat the Grill or Skillet:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the Steaks:
- Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil to coat evenly.
- Season the steaks with salt, freshly ground black pepper, garlic powder, dried rosemary, and red pepper flakes (if using). Press the seasonings onto the steaks to help them adhere.
Grill or Sear the Steaks:
- Place the seasoned steaks on the preheated grill or in the hot skillet.
- Grill or sear the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the cooking time based on your desired level of doneness.
- Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature; for medium-rare, it should read around 60°C.
Rest and Serve:
- Once the steaks are cooked to your liking, remove them from the heat source and transfer them to a cutting board or serving platter.
- Let the steaks rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Slice and Enjoy
